ROLINC Announces Third Annual BizAttire Clothing Drive to Support Denver Job Seekers in Need

In November of 1973, Lupe Anguiano led 600 women, all low income residents […] in the “Let’s Get Off Welfare” campaign [and] demonstrated their frustration with and disdain for the system by returning their only means of income: their welfare checks.

This week, ROLINC Staffing proudly announced that it will again be hosting it’s largest charitable event, the BizAttire Clothing Drive!

The client company that donates the most items wins a catered lunch for the entire company – all just for cleaning out their closets and bringing the clothes to work!

The past two drives have been a huge success. ROLINC and its clients have provided hundreds of clothing items, jackets, shoes, accessories and toiletries to job seekers in need throughout Denver.

Just as ROLINC did last year, all donations will go to the Center for Work Education and Employment. CWEE focuses on creating work opportunities for those in Denver who feel lost, need assistance finding a job, or need the resources to provide for themselves and their families. Here is just one of the many examples:

My name is Earnest Denney. I am a 31-year-old, single father of three wonderful boys. When I was in high school I dropped out, thinking if I could just get a job I would be able to get my own place and start my own family. I worked for eight years and my life went down a hard road. I ended up not knowing where my future was going, as well as asking for help to pay for rent and bills.

During this time, I depended on my Mom for help with all my expenses, giving her a burden she did not deserve. I realized that I had two choices: either to continue being a burden or to become a thinker who analyzes and solves my own problems. I went with the second choice.

Items must be donated by bin pick-up on February 20th and must be accepted by our benefitting organization to be considered for the grand prize – a catered lunch from Qdoba! ROLINC Staffing will coordinate with all registrants to provide and pick up donation bins at all locations. Each company will have 7 business days to fill their donation bin.

Interested in participating? Sign up here!

Or you can stop by one of our three Denver area offices to drop off donations. Tax deduction receipts will be available.

We’re excited to see just how many items we can collect and donate this year to support our hometown community. Please join us in donating!
